About Me

Anthony Contreras

I am excited to join the Edendale Middle School team as Education Specialist in:

Period 1: Math

Period 2: English Language Arts

I look forward to creating a  peaceful and calming learning environment where students focus on:

  • Academic knowledge
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Social-emotional skill development

I am originally from Los Angeles, but I’ve lived in Berkeley, Oakland and Alameda for a combined 29 years. I interned at Kaiser Permanente in Union City as an individual and group therapist. I have worked in the San Lorenzo Unified School District for 7 years. I also used to perform live improv and acted in commercials and films.

Since I am no match for the amount of experience and knowledge that YOU have as parents, grandparents and guardians, I value your input and any heads-up about specific needs or circumstances you feel I should know about. The beginning of the school year is a challenging transition for students, families and school staff. We appreciate your patience as we adjust to the new reality in this time of Coronavirus, COVID 19.
