ELA 7th & 8th Grade
Dear Parent, Guardians, and Students,
It is a pleasure to be a part of the English Language Arts’ faculty at Edendale Middle School at San Lorenzo USD. I am thrilled to welcome you to this 7th/8th Grade English Language Arts classroom. It is my stated goal to deliver the best course of study and teaching practices to my students so that they will be successful. If students show up the required amount of time, work in class, show steady gains, complete class and homework assignments, and stay in communication with me, it is certain they will perform well in this class.
This school year is my tenth year as a teacher of English, and sixth year in San Lorenzo USD. I have a Teaching Credential and a Masters degree in English. Interestingly, I have taught English to all grades upto College students. Over the years, I have put in great efforts to meet each student at their level at the start of the school year. I am aware that all the students are different in so many ways, possess their own personal strengths and academic challenges. Therefore, It is my job to identify these two characteristics, and work to strengthen them.

Although I try to respond to all emails/calls as soon as possible, I am teaching in the classroom all day, please allow 24-48 hours in getting back to you.

Estimados padres, tutores y estudiantes,
Es un placer ser parte de la facultad de Artes del Lenguaje Inglés en la Escuela Intermedia Edendale en el Distrito Escolar Unificado de San Lorenzo. Estoy encantada de darles la bienvenida a este salón de clases de artes del lenguaje inglés de 7.° u 8.° grado. Mi objetivo declarado es ofrecer el mejor curso de estudio y prácticas de enseñanza a mis alumnos para que tengan éxito. Si los estudiantes se presentan la cantidad de tiempo requerida, trabajan en clase, muestran avances constantes, completan las tareas asignadas y de clase, y se mantienen en comunicación conmigo, es seguro que aprobarán esta clase.
Afortunadamente, este año escolar es mi décimo año como maestra de inglés y sexto año en San Lorenzo USD. Tengo una Credencial de Enseñanza y una Maestría en Inglés. He enseñado inglés a todos los grados hasta estudiantes universitarios. A lo largo de los años, me he esforzado mucho para encontrar a cada estudiante en su nivel al comienzo del año escolar. Todos los estudiantes son diferentes de muchas maneras, poseen sus propias fortalezas personales y desafíos académicos. Es mi trabajo identificar estas dos características y trabajar para fortalecerlas.
Padres y tutores, no duden en comunicarse conmigo por correo electrónico (preferido), llamada telefónica en el salón de clases o programar una cita después de la escuela para una reunión en persona. Aunque trato de responder a todos los correos electrónicos/llamadas lo antes posible, estoy en el salón de clases enseñando todo el día, por lo tanto, espere de 24 a 48 horas para responderle.
