The above images is a Thanksgiving send-off from the BSU to staff members. Students and staff gathered to give thanks and celebrate the holiday. Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, REACH provides 'free food'. Celeste, the School Community Liaison prepared this delicious food on behalf of the BSU.
Black Family Night was held at Edendale Middle School on October 27th.

The evening included a soul food dinner, an informal talk by national sports columnist Marcus Thompson II and music, drama and dance performances by students from Edendale and Bohannon middle schools. Superintendent Dr. Daryl Camp delivered welcoming remarks.

District partners such as the African American Regional Educational Alliances (AAREA) set up tables to share information, including college-going opportunities.
