Welcome to Mr. Sokolsky's Teacher Page

I never really knew what I wanted to do with my life. Even when I entered my credential program, I figured teaching would just be something to fall back on if my eventual career didn’t pan out (whatever career that might be), but then I started to student teach.  One day, as I was sneaking out the back door of my master teacher’s classroom, all of the students yelled, “Goodbye Mr. Ed!”  It was at that moment I realized I was meant to be in a classroom.  Getting kids to think creatively, take risks, and move out of their comfort zone is what I strive to do everyday whether I am teaching English or drama because challenging ourselves helps us grow and be successful.

College
I attended Ohlone Junior College in Fremont, CA and transferred to Humboldt State University where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a teaching credential in English..

I use Aeries to generate report cards. Families can view report cards through the Aeries Family Portal.
