Welcome to Mr. Uyeno's Teacher Page

I have been a teacher of students with moderate/severe disabilities for the past twelve years. I was born in Oakland and raised in the Bay Area.

I enjoy being in the outdoors and breathing fresh air.

College
I went to community college at Diablo Valley College. Then I transferred to the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and received my Bachelorś Degree.  After a decadeś hiatus with a variety of jobs and professions, I went back to school to get my teacherś credential at Cal State Hayward.

District Tools I Use 

Attendance
I take attendance using Aeries. You can stay on top of attendance through the Aeries Family Portal or Aeries App

Report Cards
I use Aeries to generate report cards, however these report cards are not applicable to my students, and you can rip these up when you receive them in the mail.  Rather, the students in my classroom are graded on their IEP goals and progress reports are generated through SEIS.  I print and send copies of these progress reports each quarter and send them home with the students.

I use the telephone, face to face communication, and e-mail.
